Arrival Information (Westgate Carr Farm & Morgan's Rest)
Please ensure you are familiar with our location prior to travelling.
From A170 in Pickering: turn into Westgate Carr Road. After the urbanised area the road narrows to a country lane WITHOUT any formal passing places & we are located 0.6m down the lane.
Please do NOT turn off the lane until you reach our entrance which is marked by a large “Westgate Carr Farm Camping & Caravan Park” sign.
The earliest arrival time is 2.00pm. There is no access prior to this time due to the restricted access.
Westgate Carr Farm
Set in 80 acres of beautiful, rural Ryedale countryside yet just 1 mile from the historic, bustling market town of Pickering. More of a lifestyle choice rather than a working farm but we do now grow & process our own hay to feed our Shire & Sport Horses, sheep & alpacas. The farm was derelict on purchase in 2012 & has since undergone total renovation with a strong focus on the planting of trees, hedges, creation of ponds & ecosystems to encourage wildlife.
We are delighted to welcome guests to our little haven subject to acceptance of our Terms & conditions of business.
To secure your booking, a 25% deposit is payable on booking & the balancing payment is due 28 days prior to arrival. If your arrival date is within 28 days of booking, full payment is payable on booking.
Minimum stays apply to certain dates e.g. Bank Holidays, High Season, 1940’s Weekend & Christmas/New Year. If you cannot find availability for your chosen length of stay, please contact the site directly. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Touring & Camping
Due to COVID-19 we no longer accept tents or anybody under 18.
We are an ADULT ONLY tranquil park; our large, spacious pitches are all-weather, gravel based, predominantly fully serviced & include a picnic table & free WiFi. Pitches are positioned around a large area of a grass, parkland like setting and range from Premier, Super, Dedicated MH pitches & Overnight/Stopover pitches.
Setting the standards, we have recently installed a drive-over grey waste drain for Motorhomes & Campervans
We are dog friendly with a lovely, private riverside walk/nature trail
Please note, if you are towing a trailer/towcar and have any separate vehicles such as a second car, it will need to be parked in a separate designated area & charged at the additional car rate of £4 per day. The first towcar is £1 per night.
With 360 degree views, no noise or light pollution & fantastic sunsets over the moors, Westgate Carr Farm Campsite must be shortlisted for your holiday!

Holiday Cottages
Morgan’s Rest Holiday Cottage (at Westgate Carr Farm) is a 4* gold quality 1-bedroom converted from an old granary.
This stunning stone building has been totally renovated to an exacting standard, with part exposed stone & brick.
Luxuriously appointed with fully integrated solid Ash kitchen with granite worktops & appliances, ground floor toilet/shower room and fantastic vaulted living room with French doors to the rear enclosed garden.
Full height front windows & underfloor heating. One vaulted first floor bedroom with balcony & seating to enjoy breakfast or in the early morning sunshine.
The cottage sleeps 2 adults & 2 children – 1 double bed & 1 Jaybe folding guest bed & 1 cot.
Trackside Holiday Cottage in Pickering looking directly onto the NYMR steam & heritage railway located just 80 m from the station & nearest pub!
The beautiful, cosy cottage with exposed stone, brick & old beams, fireplace & original salt cupboard dates back to the 18th Century & is located in a conservation area under the shadow of Pickering Castle.
Having undergone a full renovation in 2021/2022 the cottage has been fitted with a new solid Ash kitchen, all new appliances, beds, soft furnishings etc.
The fantastic living rooms looks directly over the NYMR as do the beautiful 2 en-suite bedrooms.
The rear garden is a suntrap but is steeply tiered rising above the cottage with views over the rooftops & to the castle.
A pre-paid parking permit is provided.
